A study by Institute of Policy Studies, US-based think tank calculated that in US alone billionaires’ estimated net wealth has gone past $3.5 trillion mark.

The global economy since March 2020 has taken a hit due to the coronavirus pandemic. Several sectors have been badly affected, millions across the world seem to have lost their jobs or face an uncertain future. However, the rich — some billionaires at least — seem to be getting richer.

 

Across the world too, billionaires seem to have gotten richer. As per the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, we bring you the top 15 tech billionaires who have become richer in 2020:

The estimated net worth of Jeff Bezos is currently $150 billion. At the start of the year, it was $115.2 billion.

 

Colin Huang, CEO, Pinduoduo: Richer by $16.5 billion

Elon Musk, CEO, Tesla: Richer by $16.4 billion

Steve Ballmer, ex-CEO, Microsoft: Richer by $9.6 billion

Mark Zuckerberg, CEO, Facebook: Richer by $9.2 billion

Eric Yuan, CEO, Zoom: Richer by $6.9 billion

William Ding, CEO, Netease: Richer by $6.8 billion

Pony Ma, chairman, Tencent Holdings: Richer by $5.6 billion

Richard Liu, CEO, JD.com: Richer by $5.2 billion

Larry Page, co-founder, Google: Richer by $4 billion

Sergei Brin, co-founder, Google: Richer by $3.8 billion

Scott Farquhar, co-CEO, Atlassian: Richer by $3.3 billion

Mike Cannon-Brookes, co-CEO, Atlassian: Richer by: $3.3 billion
