Thousands filled the streets of London on the UN International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, demanding justice for Gaza and urgent action for UK hunger strikers held on remand. Protesters carried powerful messages — “End the genocide,” “Support our hunger strikers,” and “Holocaust survivor descendants against Gaza genocide.” Speakers accused global powers of abandoning Palestinians, calling the ceasefire talks “a lie” and describing the crisis as a “neo-colonial project.” The rally also spotlighted the worsening condition of around 33 UK detainees on a rolling hunger strike for nearly 30 days, protesting alleged unlawful imprisonment and demanding fair trial rights. Two participants, including Cameron Ante, have already been hospitalised.
