Russian Su-25 Jets Strike Ukrainian Forces in Kursk Region

Russian Su-25 ground-attack aircraft have conducted airstrikes targeting Ukrainian military personnel and equipment in Russia’s Kursk region, according to the Russian Defense Ministry. The ministry reported that the strikes, carried out with unguided air missiles, successfully destroyed designated targets, including concentrations of Ukrainian troops, armored vehicles, and motor transport.

Following the attack, the Su-25 crews executed missile evasion maneuvers, deployed decoy flares, and safely returned to their base.

This operation is part of ongoing military activities along the Russia-Ukraine border, with the Kursk region experiencing increased hostilities. The Russian Defense Ministry has released footage of the strikes, showcasing the Su-25 aircraft engaging Ukrainian positions.

The situation in the border areas remains tense, with both sides reporting escalated military engagements. Independent verification of the claims made by the Russian Defense Ministry is currently unavailable.
