Quetta Gladiators Dominate with Bat and Ball
Quetta Gladiators kicked off their campaign in style with a crushing 80-run victory over Peshawar Zalmi at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The opening duo of Saud Shakeel and Finn Allen laid the foundation for a massive total, each notching up explosive half-centuries.

Saud Shakeel played a classy knock of 59 off 42 balls, while Finn Allen tore into the Zalmi attack with a fiery 53 off just 25 deliveries, including four sixes.

Their opening partnership of 88 runs in just 7.1 overs set the tone for a commanding innings.

Late fireworks by Kusal Mendis (35 off 14)* and Rilee Rossouw (21 off 10)* pushed Quetta to a daunting 216/5.
In response, Peshawar Zalmi’s innings crumbled early. Babar Azam fell in the first over to Mohammad Amir, and the collapse continued with Abrar Ahmed spinning a web around the Zalmi batters. Later in the evening, fans at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi witnessed a historic run chase as Karachi Kings overhauled a mammoth 235-run target, defeating Multan Sultans by four wickets in a high-octane clash.
After being asked to bat, Multan’s innings was anchored by captain Mohammad Rizwan, who remained unbeaten on 105 off 58 balls, notching his fourth T20 century. He was well supported by Michael Bracewell (44 off 17)* and Kamran Ghulam (36 off 19), as Multan piled up 234/3 in 20 overs.
However, the Karachi response was nothing short of spectacular.

After an early wobble at 79/4, James Vince played one of the finest knocks in PSL history, blasting a breathtaking 101 off just 43 balls, including 14 boundaries and four maximums.

He was ably supported by Khushdil Shah, whose aggressive 60 off 37 anchored a record 142-run fifth-wicket stand — the highest for the wicket in PSL history.
