Philippines, U S Launch Cope Thunder 2025 with F 35 Jets

The Philippine Air Force (PAF) and the United States Pacific Air Forces (PACAF) have officially launched Exercise Cope Thunder 2025 at Clark Air Base in Pampanga. Featuring advanced aircraft like the FA-50 and the F-35 Lightning II, this joint military drill focuses on enhancing interoperability, coordination, and combat readiness. With over 2,500 personnel involved, the exercise includes basic fighter maneuvers, low-altitude training, and surface attack simulations. This marks the first time F-35s have participated in exercises in the Philippines—strengthening regional alliances and sharing vital military expertise.
