Protests Erupt in Karachi Demanding Release of Imran Khan

Supporters of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) gathered in Karachi to demand the immediate release of former Prime Minister Imran Khan. Demonstrators waved party flags, held portraits of Khan, and chanted slogans calling for justice. Police and security forces later moved in to disperse the crowd, leading to clashes and the detention of several protesters. PTI supporters argue that the numerous legal cases against Khan are politically motivated. Imran Khan has been in prison since being sentenced to 14 years in a corruption case, a verdict he and his party strongly deny. Protests have continued nationwide since his removal from office in 2022.
