The Pakistan Super League is set to enter a new era with its 11th edition, as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officially announced the schedule for HBL PSL 11, a 44-match tournament running from 26 March to 3 May across six cities in Pakistan.

For the first time in the league’s history, eight teams will compete in the tournament, expanding the competition and bringing more matches, rivalries, and opportunities for fans across the country. Matches will be hosted in Faisalabad, Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Peshawar, and Rawalpindi, with Faisalabad and Peshawar making their debut as PSL venues.

The final of the tournament will take place at the iconic Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Sunday, 3 May, with Monday, 4 May scheduled as a reserve day.

HBL PSL 11 Expands to Eight Teams

The 39-day competition will feature eight franchises battling for the PSL title:

  • Hyderabad Kingsmen

  • Islamabad United

  • Karachi Kings

  • Lahore Qalandars

  • Multan Sultans

  • Peshawar Zalmi

  • Quetta Gladiators

  • Rawalpindi Pindiz

Two new franchises will make their debut this season:

  • Hyderabad Kingsmen – acquired for PKR 175 crore

  • Rawalpindi Pindiz – acquired for PKR 245 crore

Their inclusion marks the biggest structural change in PSL history since the league’s launch.

Each team will play 10 matches during the league stage, with the top four teams qualifying for the playoffs, which will include:

  • Qualifier 1

  • Eliminator

  • Qualifier 2

  • Final

Opening Match at Gaddafi Stadium

The opening game of HBL PSL 11 will be played on 26 March at Gaddafi Stadium between defending champions Lahore Qalandars and tournament newcomers Hyderabad Kingsmen.

Gaddafi Stadium will host 15 matches, including the final and three double-headers scheduled on:

  • 29 March

  • 19 April

  • 25 April

Lahore Qalandars—champions of the 2022, 2023, and 2025 editions—will play at least five matches at their home ground.

One of the most anticipated clashes of the season, the rivalry between Lahore Qalandars and Karachi Kings, is set for 29 March in Lahore.

Peshawar Returns to Major Cricket Stage

For the first time ever, the PSL will be played at Imran Khan Cricket Stadium in Peshawar.

Previously known as Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium, the venue last hosted an international match on 6 February 2006, when Pakistan national cricket team faced India national cricket team in an ODI.

The stadium will host its first PSL match on 28 March, featuring Peshawar Zalmi against newcomers Rawalpindi Pindiz.

Faisalabad to Host PSL Matches for the First Time

Another historic milestone comes in Faisalabad, where Iqbal Stadium will stage seven PSL matches.

The first fixture at the venue will take place on 9 April, when Lahore Qalandars take on Islamabad United.

Lahore Qalandars will play four matches in Faisalabad, while Peshawar Zalmi will feature in three matches at the historic ground.

Multan Sultans’ Home Matches

Multan Sultans will play four evening matches at Multan Cricket Stadium in Multan.

Their first home match is scheduled for 1 April, when the 2021 champions face tournament debutants Hyderabad Kingsmen.

Karachi to Host Key Rivalries

National Bank Stadium in Karachi will host six PSL matches.

The stadium has a rich PSL history, having hosted the finals in 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2024.

The first match in Karachi will take place on 8 April, featuring Hyderabad Kingsmen against Peshawar Zalmi.

Fans will also witness a new rivalry when Hyderabad Kingsmen face Karachi Kings on 11 April.

Rawalpindi to Host 11 Matches

Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi will stage 11 matches, including one playoff qualifier.

The venue will host:

  • Six matches for Islamabad United

  • Five matches for Rawalpindi Pindiz

The two teams will meet twice during the group stage, with matches scheduled for 4 April and 23 April.

Rawalpindi will also host two double-headers on 2 April and 26 April.

A New Chapter for Pakistan’s Biggest T20 League

With eight teams, two new venues, and a packed 44-match schedule, the upcoming edition of the Pakistan Super League promises to be one of the biggest seasons in the tournament’s history.
