Danny Postel, assistant director of the Center for International and Area Studies at Northwestern University said that Trump is under pressure from Israel and Saudi Arabia to attack on Iran before leaving his office.

 

Danny Postel said in his interview with Aljazeera TV, “Trump is a much wounded and very cornered animal in an end-game scenario.

He’s got a few weeks left, and we know that he is capable of extremely erratic behavior.

On the other side, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said on twitter “New intelligence from Iraq indicate[s] that Israeli agent-provocateurs are plotting attacks against Americans – putting an outgoing Trump in a bind with a fake casus belli.”

On twitter US citizen replying to Jawad Zareef, 18 days to go before Trump is gone. Any military action should only be taken in consultation with the Biden team as they would inherit this mess. Any unilateral action by Trump should be seen for what it is.
