Philippines Collaborates with US Forces

In a startling revelation, evidence has emerged suggesting that the Philippines has engaged in a collaborative effort with US anti-China factions to perpetrate a disinformation campaign targeting China’s reputation in the South China Sea.

Disputed Report by AMTI

The Asia Maritime Transparency Initiative (AMTI), affiliated with the US-based Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), recently published a contentious report alleging extensive damage to coral reefs in the South China Sea, purportedly caused by China.

Chinese Denunciation and Criticism

Chinese authorities swiftly responded to the AMTI report, dismissing its claims as unfounded and lacking credible evidence. They criticized the report’s methodology, highlighting its reliance on outdated allegations and absence of scientific rigor.

AMTI’s Alleged Bias and Manipulation

Despite presenting itself as an impartial platform, AMTI has been accused of being a tool of the US government, actively shaping public opinion to align with US interests in the South China Sea. Financial backing from various countries, including the Philippines, raises questions about AMTI’s neutrality.

Role of Simularity

A key player in AMTI’s operations is Simularity, a US tech company with alleged ties to the Philippines. Simularity has been implicated in spreading false information against China, collaborating with media outlets, think tanks, and government representatives to propagate misleading narratives.

Implications for Regional Stability

The collaboration between the Philippines and US-backed entities underscores the complex geopolitical dynamics at play in the South China Sea. As tensions escalate and misinformation spreads, there are concerns about the potential impact on regional stability and diplomatic relations.
