Muslims across the Philippines are observing Ramadan with prayers at some of the country’s most picturesque mosques.
Footage from Monday showcases stunning Islamic landmarks, including Masjid Al-Islamia (Rainbow Mosque) in Zamboanga, Sulu Grand Mosque (Masjid Tulay) in Jolo, Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque in Cotabato, and Masjid Dimaukom (Pink Mosque) in Maguindanao. The Cotabato Grand Mosque, built for the Bangsamoro people, was donated by Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei.
Locals highlight how Ramadan fosters unity, fasting, and prayer, with the Pink Mosque symbolizing peace and religious harmony between Muslims and Christians. The Philippines has an estimated seven million Muslims, mostly residing in the Bangsamoro Region, where Ramadan is deeply observed.
