The International Olympic Committee (IOC), in collaboration with Deloitte, has officially launched the 2025 edition of the IOC Climate Action Awards—an international initiative celebrating the integration of sustainability in sports. This prestigious programme invites National Olympic Committees (NOCs), International Federations (IFs), and Olympic and Paralympic athletes to submit innovative climate action projects that are creating measurable environmental impact.
Climate Action Meets Sports Innovation
First introduced in November 2022, the IOC Climate Action Awards are now in their third cycle and continue to spotlight climate-conscious leaders across the global sports landscape. The initiative reflects the IOC’s growing commitment to combating climate change by encouraging eco-friendly practices in sports.
According to Marie Sallois, IOC Director of Corporate and Sustainable Development:
“The IOC Climate Action Awards return in 2025, not just to honour bold ideas, but to ignite a movement. These awards are a call to action for those redefining what’s possible in sport and sustainability.”
